Smithville coach Bubba Tacker still wouldn't say too much about himself on Monday. After his quarterback had already been taken to the hospital with a possible back injury during Thursday's game against Smithville, Tacker was taken to Gilmore Hospital in Amory with what people feared was a possible heart issue from chest pains.

Turns out it was more an anxiety issue, but nonetheless, his team did plenty of talking for him.

After Antwune Freeman went down in the third quarter with Smithville trailing 8-5, Tacker's team rallied in support of their on-field leader and won in support of their sideline leader to take the Division 1-1A title 14-8.

"He's OK, he's just going to be sore," Tacker said of Freeman. "He took a pretty good lick. As far as playing Friday night, probably not much if he does play.

"I'm OK. It was just a lot of things piled up there at one time. Nothing really to talk about with me."
